EPO sponsors YAPC::Brasil

22/08/12 15:24 by Breno G. de Oliveira (‎garu‎)

The Enlightened Perl Organization (EPO) is a membership organization within the Perl community, helping to manage many Perl projects, competitions, initiatives and conferences, also lending business aid, advice and management services on a not-for-profit basis. All donations and membership fees are used in direct support of community projects.

Mark Keating, EPO's Company Secretary and Board Member, announced that they would be sponsoring YAPC::Brasil with an award of £1,000 (GBP). EPO is also helping the organization of YAPC::Brasil with managing business contributions to the event.

We'd like to publicly thank the EPO for the generously sponsoring YAPC::Brasil and for all the support to the worldwide Perl communities.

This year's main theme is the revolution of data, divided in 4 main tracks: Data-Driven Journalism, Bioinformatics, Big Data and Enterpreneurship and Public Policies.

Of course, we have also a track dedicated exclusively to Perl Hacking, where you can talk about your projects and pretty much anything Perl-related.

It doesn't matter if your talk is for advanced developers or for people who are taking their first steps in programming. You have something to say and we want to hear it!

What are you waiting for? Submit your talk now!
